Purchasing 05 6MT this weekend, need some input on options!
Well i finally gave in to all the nice pics and mods and amazing communitiy behind this sleek car and i decided to purchase one. Only one question remains in my head.
with NAV or without??
im sure theres quite a few threads on this debate, and from what ive read in the past few days that ive been reading/searching through the forums before i finaly registered today, most of you do favor the factory NAV becuase of its aesthetic integration into the interior itself and the perks it has..(popup mainly, is that popup function motorized by the way??, thanks)
And the reason for me asking the same question is this...i have an 03 altima now, but i changed the HU to a Pioneer P6600DVD, and i also added the Pioneer Xm Tuner. I installed it myself, but the equipment ran me $1300 roughly. it looks great in the altima, check it out btw www.cardomain.com/id/su_root/ , and i was wondering what you guys think about either selling my entire setup now for the cash, which will go towards the cost of the g35 w/NAVI, or should i get it without NAVI and conver to double din and install my current setup into the G35???
thanks for the help, ive already learned so much about the g35 these past days from these forums and i dont even have one yet! LoL...thanks again for teh input!

Greetings root!
Before I bought my G, I researched all the options it had to offer and I decided I wanted everything!! Then came the amazement of how much it would cost!! It was just a little too much for me, so I looked at all the options - premium package is a must have/aero/sport...! Then I thought to myself about the Navigation, and I had the dealer show me one without it. One thing I liked about my older car was how many pockets it had to hold your wallet / phone...etc. The car he showed me that didn't have Nav was ideal in a way because without the Nav you have a pretty decent size glove box to hold all kind of things. The center console wasn't that big and the glove box on the passenger side was also smaller than what I was used to. Anyway, that made my mind up for me. The Nav is great, and will definitely help on resell but unless your driving in unfamiliar areas a lot of the time, I don't think it's worth it.

I have the NAV and I'm glad I got it. But, if you use your car mostly for commuting, or driving mostly in areas you are already familiar with, then I wouldn't bother with it. $2k will buy you a lifetime of maps!
