Seattle1996 - I recently did a brake job on my Brembo Coupe (pads, rotors, ss brake lines, fluid). Although I wanted to get Project Mu pads, it was more cost efficient to go with a brake upgrade package then to buy the components individually. I ended up with Hawk HPS 5.0 pads that came with the Z1motorsports kit.

They've only been on for about a week but so far so good, no dust and good stopping power. As of now I can't speak to the complaints with Hawks some of the others have mentioned, only time will tell.

Personally, I'd give the Project Mu pads a try if I were you.

I have used Wagner Ceramic Thermoquiet's in most of my cars over the years. They have done the best for me, although I don't know if they make them for Brembo package G35's.

I've swapped my stock rotors and pads to DBA 4000 series slotted and Hawk HPS about 6 years ago now. Some 80K KM (not miles) later I've never been happy about the choice I made then. Right now the pads have worn finally and are showing signs of wear (Rotors still seem okay). Naturally I was just going to order another set of Hawk HPS but I think there is another version of it called HPS 5.0. I believe it's the updated compound of the older HPS so I opted to go with HPS 5.0. Why stick to 10+ year old compound when you can get the updated version? Anyways, I have a set of HPS 5.0 on my way now and will change the pads and bed them in over the weekend.

BTW, if you need to change rotors too go with DBA. I've used cheap-o brands like PowerStop on my other car (Acura TSX) and they literally ground down to paper thin after only a year... sometimes you get what you pay for...

Good luck!
