aero package vs aero kit?

I've deposited on an 05 G coupe, and I've got a couple a questions in reference to ordering the aero package, splash guards, and aero kit without rear spoiler (in order to get the chin spoiler) or the aero kit with rear spoiler...I don't care so much about the price difference as much as I do that ordering the aero kit with rear spoiler will also net me the underbody diffusers, and lowering my cg.....thanx..

Maybe I missed it, but what's the question??

Aero package will get you the underbody side air diffusers, as well as the spoiler.

Aero kit w/out spoiler will then get you the front lip as well as the slashguards

Get the aero package with the aero kit (without spoiler) if you want everything. The aero package is factory installed. The 2 different aero kits are port installed. Factory install gives the best install quality on the rear spoiler. If you get aero kit (with spoiler) everything is port installed and you might still have an extra third brake light in the rear window (I've seen Coupes like this).

like the guy said above.. "aero package" with "aerodynamic kit withOUT spoiler" is the way to go. However, if you are having the dealer install it then it doesnt really matter.. just tell them you want everything... they count each piece individually.

I was wondering if the aero package + aero kit without spoiler OR the aero kit with spoiler can be installed by the dealer. I am looking to buy a coupe this month but no dealer in So. Cal has DG coupe with aero package or aero kit with spoiler. I don't want to order the coupe because I don't want to wait 3 months for my car. If I have the dealer install them, how much should I pay? MSRP? Will I also have to pay for installation?

I ordered my 05 6MT in January and the dealer informed me that you cannot order the aero kit or aero package WITHOUT the spoiler straight from the factory. Looking at the options in the various online and published Infiniti materials, I thought I could get the underbody diffusers and front lip spoiler without getting the awful looking, albeit functional spoiler. If you find out otherwise, I'd like to know, as I'd have some serious beef to settle with my dealer.

BTW - The sales manager said he tried to special order the car from Infiniti to get the aero package/kit without the spoiler, but they wouldn't do it. Let me know.

cj,

From Infiniti's site:

Aerodynamic Body Kit (With Spoiler) $1200

• Accessory Rear Spoiler
• 2 Under Body Diffusers
• 2 Under Covers
• Front Bumper Chin Spoiler
• Aero body splash guards

Exactly how much difference does the aero stuff make? Is it really worth it or is it mainly a nickel and dime tactic?
