Sluggish g35

Okay so I've had this car for over a year now. When I got it, it was fairly bad with a misfire.after I forced the owner to fix it. It was running like gold. Fell in love with it. Then within a couple of days it ending up misfiring in the same one. So he ended up redoing it again changing the spark plug and ignition coil for that cylinder . After that it wasn't the same for some reason. Had worse gas mileage and it just doesn't want to take off. the engine roars as I step on it but it just not the same push I once experienced. Since then I been going crazy to get it back.
I changed the following with no luck.

Changed to a Short ram intake
Spark plugs
Throttle body
Oil
Engine (yes did a whole engine change)
Knock sensor and harness
Cam shaft senors in bank 2 (threw a code)one that under the car too
Tried cleaning and then bought new to see if there was a difference, was none so I returned.
Went to cat back exhaust (thought it was probably a back pressure issue and changed all pipes)
Got a new cattyltic converter (one had a whole and thought that would improve)
All O2 sensors

Was thinking maybe it was a fuel injector but the engine is direct injected if I'm not mistaken so it's gonna be in the engine and changing it didn't make a difference.
Mechanics keep telling me there's nothing wrong with it and it drives fast. But they don't know what a g is suppose to feel like. Feels like I'm driving a 4 cylinder and it frustrates me when I can't even dust a lil Honda car. I really don't want to waste anymore money fixing things that aren't broken. Was thinking maybe fuel pump or maybe timing belt (if that even effect performance) bt I need help cause I just don't know at This point. Invested too much to get another car.

Is your Check Engine light currently on?

How many miles do you have on the car?

I don't even know where to begin. Let me understand; your car ran fine, then it didn't, then without diagnosing the specific issue it had professionally you just started trying out random fixes including dropping a new motor and the car still runs like azz.

Good luck with that................SMH

These cars don't have a timing belt, they have a chain... you shouldn't really have to replace it anytime soon. Since you already swapped in a whole motor and have the same symptoms, it seems obvious that it's nothing in the motor. I'd suspect fuel delivery as the next most likely candidate for the source of the problem. Possibly you have a fuel filter that's partially clogged or a fuel pump that's on the way out. As BlueDream said though, throwing parts at it in hopes of fixing the problem is not the way to go. Almost any part can be tested to definitively determine if it works as intended or not.

Maybe buy an inline fuel pressure tester/gauge and adapter and hook it up to your car so you can test to see if the fuel pressure is dropping while it starts exhibiting the problem symptoms. If it does, then pull out that fuel pump assembly and put in a new fuel filter and test again and see if the pressure is better.

Do you know if the previous owner did a tune on the car? A bad tune could do some weird things.

The bad thing is that throwing all those performance parts at the car just made your troubleshooting more complex because there are way more variables to eliminate now, such as the intake messing up your MAF sensor functionality, etc. Hopefully the front O2 sensors you used are OEM and reading properly since that impacts how the car runs too.

Would you happen to have gotten tires and/or wheels with of a larger diameter? That would make it feel really sluggish even if they're just a little taller..

Scraggle might be on to something. The VDC on our cars is super picky. The general rule of thumb is the rolling diameter of the tires F/R needs to have less than 3% variance in size. It doesn't matter what size your wheels are or what size your tires are. For example if the rolling diameter of your front tires is 27.5" and the rears are 28.3" the difference is 2.9% which is right on the edge of trouble. We have tire calculators available on this site and there are numerous on the web.

Not just that, but it changes the final drive gearing. For instance I had some 265/35-18 which are 1.5" shorter than the stock 245/45 and the difference in acceleration was incredible. I put 275/40s (same height as stock) on it later cuz the 265s looked stupid, and it was like someone robbed me of 30hp.
