K&N Filter in 10 minutes-
My previous post on the K&N filter dry run of 5/06 talked about getting to the airbox...........I did finally install the K&N hi flow replacement filter in the "G" Coupe. It was really easy/ Unbolt one hold down, pop open four clips, loosen the clamp on the convoluted connecting house to the throttle body. Separate the air box back section, lift out that stinking OEM paper filter, drop in the K&N....squeeze alittle bit and button the whole affair back up.
Have already noticed an increase in gas milage and performance, (Butt Dyno). Ive been tracking my milage per gallon since break-in was completed at 1200miles. I was getting 17 to 18 GPM city and now with the K&N it should increase moderately. At least in my Maxima that was the case.

Re: K&N Filter in 10 minutes-
how much of a difference do you suppose the gas mileage will increase? ... also how much did you pay for the K&N Filter?

Re: K&N Filter in 10 minutes-
Our Panel Filter K&N PN-33-2031-2 ran me about $43.00. It will never have to be replaced, just cleaned and re-oiled...I will most likely do this every 5K miles. On my 96 Maxima, the K&N increased my milage around 12 - 15%. It was a significant jump. I have been been keeping very accurate records since break-in was completed at 1200 miles. Give me a few tanks and I'll report the results. I expect a significant increase as well.
