Hardwiring Radar Detector to Fuse Box

I ran the wiring through the passenger side door into the engine bay and hard wired the wire to all of the fuses in the smaller box and i got nothing. On some fuses the Detector would turn on but quickly shut off. Anyone else have this problem and figured out a fix?

Do you have it grounded somewhere?

Did you test it first using the power socket/cig lighter prior to running wires?

I got it figured out. Just had to keep trying fuses in the other fuse box in the engine bay.

A multimeter would have saved you time

Sounds like a lot of work when you could have used something slick like this: http://www.invisicord.com/index.html

I wasn't really looking to spend money on this little mod. But definitely would have been helpful.
