Stone Interior Owners
#16
Love it. Chose it specifically because of the mass-quantity of black interiors out there. Don't regret it at all. thought it looked great with Diamond graphite interior and thought maybe it would retain a micro-spot less heat than the graphite would down here in the south Texas heat. (wishful thinking).
My floor mats are also stone, but I have some dark throw rugs (really cool pattern) that I have in the high traffic portion of the footwell. They are dark, dark gray and have threads of lighter gray and white woven in - they really compliment the interior and go well with the darker dash. Solved the problem of nasty floor mats.
I'm a clean freak anyway. Look here and you can see an idea of what I mean by the throw rug thing - this is the almost 8 year old car I traded on the G. The floormats in this car looked like the day they were new.

I agree with the others on the floormats, my mats are also stone colored, although I would not mind the graphite floormats in my stone interior. I actually tried to get a switch with the mats at the dealers but they wouldn't do that. It sounds like someone pulled a switch on your mats.

Gee35x, I suppose it's possible, but they were in the trunk when I test drove the car. I joked with my salesperson that I was afraid the stone Interior would come with grey floormats, which would be VERY hard to keep clean. She laughed and said "of course not!" There were 3 other stone interior Gs at Rosenthal that I saw, all had graphite floormats. So unless it's just something Rosenthal does for all its owners, why would I ever think otherwise?
