Need some help with exhaust and sway bars on my 05 G35 coupe

Please read carefully (before you tell me to buy something else - not happening).

Picked up a 2014 370z Nismo OEM catback dual exhaust on CL, as my 2005 has been devoured by Chicago salt. Looking to mount on my 2005 G35 coupe. I know the y-pipe is a direct fit, that I will need 8" extension pipes, weld another midpipe hanger on the right and change the muffler hanger from left to right. I also know that the tip pipes will need to be extended 2" to be flush with bumper and likely down-angled for clearance given the larger diameter of the Nismo tips. All well and good.

The problem is the sway bar on the G35 was made for single exhaust pipe. I can have the Nismo exhaust cut and re-angled but this is self-defeating and kind of silly for the cost.

So here's the big question: Will an aftermarket sports sway bar (eg Eibach or Cusco) allow clearance of a dual exhaust, specifically the newer Nismo OEM catback? I'd rather spend my $$$ on an upgrade that will me to use exhaust with minimal alteration while gaining an improvement in handling.

Another owner seems to have attempted this, but they went the route of cutting and re-angling the midpipes.

Debate!

I don't know how yours is angled but I just have a cheap Dual catback Exhaust and I have no problems with the sway bar getting in the way.

370z?

You meant it came from 370z nismo? I would get a 370z rear sway bar so you won't have to cut the piping to make them fit. Before doing that make sure to ask our vendors here to confirm %100 fitment.

I've never heard of any sway bar(s) that are fabricated to accommodate specific exhaust setups.

If you have a single exhaust pipe just find dual exhaust junk car and get the bar off that car save you a lot of money. the only hard part is to find one

Fairly certain the the 370z bar is wider than the G35/350z.

Holy thread revival!

Just moved to the Bay Area. Anyone have a good welder or muffler guy in the area who is reasonable for G35 owners?
