All G's have a chance to burn oil, don't blame the year man. 05-07 just had the class action suit.

 

My 05 5AT drinks oil like I used to drink vodka, one quart at a time lol.

 

Pretty sure it was just a Tech Service Bulletin, that the uniformed like to treat as recalls and/or automatic warranty work.

But yeah, all DEs have the potential for oil consumption issues. My revup didn't burn oil at all until I got up around 160-180k miles. 230k on it now. I knew more people with 04s burning oil than revups.
