Any Advice Appreciated

Hi Forum,

I was trying to get any help or suggestions before I go spend $700 next Saturday to get rid of rasp from HFC. My exhaust is stock except for the HFC. I will be getting the Motordyne XYZ pipe with resonators. It's a 03 Coupe.

Exhaust is very easy to install on your own if you have jack stands and a buddy. $700 seems very high to get rid of rasp.

The resonated XYZ will get rid of most of your rasp but you'll sill have some. Stock motors/exhausts just don't play well with HFC's due to the smaller piping sizes. You could try to get rid of more by having a mid-muffler welded onto your midpipe replacing the stock resonator or by just buying an aftermarket exhaust.

Thank so much for you advice Blue Dream. In your opinion which option do you think would be the best? I would have to find a muffler shop that I trust who could do the work. Sure that I could find one here in the Atlanta area.

Best advice is to do it right the first time and do it all at once. Meaning, upgrades.. hfc + true dual catback exhaust. GL
