How to take off stock shift ****

Can anyone show me how to take it off??
it is much easier when i had my S2000, like 10seconds..........

That's all it take with the G as well. The **** is REALLY tight the first time you remove it. Grab shift boot JUST below the shift **** itself to keep it from twisting and turn the **** counter clockwise (standard righty tighty, lefty loosie). Once loose, it takes about 5 or 6 revolutions to get it threaded all the way out.

Read lowrider's comments.......same thing roadracer said. Key thing here is to clamp down on the shifter below the boot with a vice grip/channel lock plier to guarantee the shifter doesn't unscrew with your ****.
