Welcome to G35 Driver Boogie! Two suggestions, keep you foot off the clutch pedal unless shifting and leave your cell in your purse while driving! Now about clutches, unless you're taking your G to the drag strip the factory Nissan clutch will last longer than you'll own this ride! I've owned 4 Nissan vehicles, put well over 100K miles on each of them and never replaced a clutch because it wore out! When you have your clutch replaced don't go to Infiniti, (stealership) Nissan charges 30% less and their mechanics are better trained!
Again Boogie, welcome to driver and enjoy the ride...Gary

OP the fastest way to get stupid comments is to say "Don't need stupid comments" then let us know you're probably texting and driving, that's stupid in and of itself. Your attitude and behavior give us a bad first impression of you. Relax and be comfortable knowing you've joined the best forum on the internet for G35 information. Be humble, post respectfully and hopefully you'll have a long and happy stay as one of our members.

With any luck this post is a joke.
I simply cannot stand people texting while they drive. It is literally the most dangerous thing you can do behind the wheel aside from being flat passed out drunk.
Texting while driving:
Causes insurance rates to go up, causes car makers to put more and more electronic nannies into cars and will likely be a reason the govt will use to push autonomous vehicles on us and take away our freedom to drive cars in the future.
HANG UP AND DRIVE!!!

Ive read OP 3 times now and dont see where you guys got that she was texting and driving from...
To op: oem replacement will serve you fine unless you're wanting to get crazy with a ton of extra horsepower mods. Keep working on your proper clutch usage and youll be gold. Welcome to the forums!

If you're ok with a little clutch chatter and want to go with a lightweight flywheel then check out the marketplace vendors. Usually a cheaper alternative to OEM as well as the performance gained from the reduction of mass on the flywheel, just make sure you also replace the throwout bearing, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder (operating cylinder) as well as all the fluid.

1- Was she texting while driving?
2- Was she on drugs?
3- Was she driving under the influence and texting as well?
4- Why did she not search the forums as there are a ton of threads on clutches?

Yes, I think the OP is a troll but the other side should be stated too.
The car comes with a DMF for a reason. Nissan would have went solid mass if comfort wouldn't be compromised. If the car will see any city traffic driving it will be most unpleasant, I've been in one and it is very annoying in a low rev traffic jam situation. Also, solid mass flywheel isn't going to dampen those torsional vibrations, something else has to give meaning the crankshaft, bellhousing and gearbox essentially become the shock absorber. You could hear and feel metal clashing and banging about. For anyone looking for a 6MT on the used market, I would avoid purchasing any of these cars that have been converted to a solid mass, wear on the drivetrain could be significant, a crank could easily be bent or a bellhousing cracked,

Ehhh, I have a LW clutch, single mass, honestly I don't see the issue other than a little noise. I think by now if there was any significant chance of damage that it would be well known and folks would avoid them.
I agree about the low speed stop n go traffic, it's annoying but you don't even use the gas pedal when releasing the clutch in that kind of traffic so... minimal wear just takes a little practice.
