I agree if he gets a IS300. the ES is just like a 50+ person's car...

Alright, someone sell me their G right now! I mean it, I'm not playin!

It's not the end of the world. For what it's worth, I got $4,400 off the MSRP. I only paid $500 over invoice. Fully loaded, I got this car for $35,600. Not a bad deal huh?

Anyway, I can always trade this car next year if I'm still sweating the G.

Dude, sorry that you made the ES300 decision, even the "G" Sedan is more exciting than the ES. I get confused everytime I see the Camry or the ES300, can't make out which is which.
Now the "Gs" are a different story, SWEET!

Remember every grandmother has one, an ES300 I mean. Just kidding! But Dude! Surely you can wait?! It is only 2 months more.

Man, I'm sorry to hear you did that. I waited 5 months for my G-coupe, and I can tell you it was worth every agonizing second!

If you really couldn't wait, I could see if you would've at least gotten a G35 Sedan. They're usually more available than the coupes. But an ES300 is so far removed from the G family. Are you really sure that's what you wanted?

I'm sure you got a nice deal, but I've found that later on, you're never really thinking about what you actually paid for something, only how much you enjoy living with it or not ...

In any case, good luck to you ... I just hope the regrets won't eat you alive as you see new G's rolling past you on the road this summer.

Ouch, stop beating up on the poor guy. He'll know what he's gotten himself into 2 months from now. Besides, the Lexus is bulletproof and has great re-sale, plus he got a good deal. As long as he doesn't fall asleep at the wheel and drive off a bridge (a very realistic scenario in that car), he should be able to survive an early trade-in. I mean, bad decision, sure, but it easily could have been worse. Could've bought a Thunderbird.

(But still, the ES?? At least go IS, or used GS, or even more used SC. The public should be warned of whatever salesperson put you in the ES. It was a woman, right? Men should never buy cars from female salespeople, too much pressure to demonstrate that you can afford anything she offers.)

Skyline, cut it out, man! I'm 50++ and I've got a G-Coupe! Don't tell me this car isn't for me! A WRX isn't for me! A '91 CRX with a big ol' coffee can isn't for me! But a G-Coupe is EXACTLY for me! If you're in your 20's and you're buying this car, you're probably either spending too much money on a friggin car at this time of your life or you were born with a silver spoon. In any case, how do you come off saying that this car belongs more under the carport of a kid than it belongs in the 4-car garage of a middle-aged guy?!

Oh, by the way, I only have a 2-car garage, and the other half belongs to a motorcycle. Enjoy your G-coupe... I sure do mine!

acbeech, don't get confused. I am just saying that Lexus is for older age people and G is for more sportier people, young and young at heart. Getting into a Lexus is just too comfy and will most likely fall asleep while you drive. Hopefully this dude won't...

Congratulations BRO!!! Enjoy your ES300.

I don't know why people are ragging on you so much when they want less people to by the G35, so they'll be one of the few to own it. Some of the same people wanting adds and commercials taken out of public sight and low production of G35's are ragging on you for getting another car. how ironic.

You can look at it this way. You have the ES300 for now, we own the first gen of G35's. Soon they'll be selling the G35 with way better standard options, probably more power. At that point you'll trade in your BS300 and get the latest and greatest G35, or something all around nicer then the G35. "Everything happens for a reason".

Enjoy and we'll be seeing you in our rear view mirror drifting around your mother in law car

Re: Couldn't wait any longer, bought a Lexus!

I think people are ragging him because why would anyone who shops for ES300's be looking on a G35 forum anyway?

That's like some posting in the Mustang forum, "Well, I couldn't wait, I went and bought the Monte Carlo! It looks nice, really!"

Where are you from? There's a couple coupe's selling on eBay and you can always try autotrader.com or something. Man, I just walked into my dealership, saw the coupe I like, and bought it on the spot. I don't know why you guys have to go through the troubles of ordering..

Re: Couldn't wait any longer, bought a Lexus

Go with the IS300. I still own one and when I drove the ES loaner car, I thought it was a barge! Sloppy handling, floaty ride, slow, a real pig. IF your mindset is to get a Lexus (fine cars) at least drive the IS300. It is 300% more fun.
Plus you CAN get nav in the IS as well.

Exactly what are you looking for on a G35 coupe? There are lots of them for sale (Richmond, Wash DC area) why wait? I got EXACTLY what I wanted with in 2days. If your willing to settle for another car, surely you would be flexable on what color/options you would want on a G?!?!?
