so after three weeks when the weather is now a bit better here in toronto, i decided to take my 03 g35 coupe out today, and quickly relised that the left driver side rear wheel is wobbling A LOT, this was told by a friend of mine who was dirivng with me and then i had him drive my car and i could visually see the wheel wobble alot.
Before that i had three studs break on me on the same wheel and i had gotten the studs replace, after replacement the car ran fine no wobble nothing, but recently all of a sudden when i took it out today the wheel was wobbling, and no the lug nights are tight i checked them by pulling to the side.

if the hub is bent how the @#$% can the hub become bent with me not even driving it? can it be the rim? i have steel rims on the back on winter tires or is it the studs? or what? smh

Jack up the front, grab the tire and try to.move it around, if there is play it's probably the wheel bearing, if no play it might be a bent wheel.

If you suspect a bent wheel take it down to a tire shop and ask them to spin it on the balancer, it's obvious if the thing is bent but WARN THEM it might be bent so they aren't taking evasive action to kick the E-stop on the machine...

Did you happen to spin the tires while it was up? Usually if its badly bent you can just see it visibly when spinning.

Harder to do with a vlsd if the opposite rear tire is still on the ground.

With a lot of wobble it should be easy to find, definitely don't drive it around though because if you lose the entire wheel there will be significant body damage as well as the danger of running into something/someone. I'm surprised you weren't able to spot the problem immediately by pulling on the tire when the vehicle was up on jackstands.

Also, vehicles can become "mysteriously damaged" if your neighbor backs into the wheel with the ball hitch of his truck or other random occurrences. Unless the vehicle was protected INSIDE the garage then you don't exactly know what COULD HAVE happened to it.

Left side rear wheel? Jacking up the front and spinning a wheel will tell you what??? It's possible you were hit and the only evidence is that rear bent wheel or something in the suspension. You need to get your coupe on a lift and check out that left rear wheel and suspension preferably by a quality mechanic!

A) i jacked up the rear wheel and spun it to check if there is any visible wobble there isnt,
B) my car ever since i bought and last time i drove it sat in my garage, last time i drove it, it was perfectly fine.
C) i don't have the funds right now to tow it to a shop thats why i was trying to ask on forums and see if i can diagnose the problem myself. because driving it is obviously is not an option

Look over all of the bushings and control arms. If you are positive it isn't the wheel than something is obviously loose with he suspension.

I agree.

Also - why is this the thread you post in after a few months away?

I post in many threads, just not as much anymore. Far less posts regarding modding or anything performance related these days. Threads are repetitious as usual. Vendors still make up 50% of the "new posts" with the political section being the second most active section. This forum has become boring.
