Key Getting Stuck and the only way to remove it is to lift up the gear Shifter?
Hey guys, I have a problem with my 05 G35 coupe Auto. Its very hard to shift to reverse, drive, go back to park etc. Also when i have to take the keys of put of the ignition, it gets stuck between "lock" and "acc" and the only way to remove the keys is to lift up the gear shifter **** and then it lets me take out the keys. any reason why this is happening?

Sounds like something is damaged on either end of the shift interlock cable which runs from the ignition key cylinder down to the shifter. Take it apart and see what's broken.

Might be the physical link between the shifter and the transmission; mine got jammed when I got a bunch of ice and snow stuck up there in a storm. If the car isn't fully in park (i.e. shifter **** clicks), it won't let you remove the key. Aftermarket ***** can cause that problem, but if the stock one is that sounds like either the interlock cable like Cleric said or the transmission linkage (it'll be just above the exhaust if you can get under the car).
Still, with difficulty moving the ****, it's either a physical blockage in the shifter assembly plate or the shift linkage is obstructed/bent.
