Lower rear spring only???????...

Wassup.. so i got some 20" xxr and the gap on the front looks clean. But the rear has a not so satisfying gap and was wondering if i can add a 1" drop with a spring and leave the front as is. Also im not looking to drop it too much because i live in L.A. and the streets here are garbage. Specially where i work at. Anyways i was wondering if i can get schooled on this or if anyone has done this.. i dont want to roll my fenders either.

The easiest solution if you're happy with the spring rates would be to just trim down the upper seat on the rear springs. Basically there's a big piece of rubber that you can trim 1/2" off to lower the rear 1/2", this is obviously a non-reversible process so if you change your mind later you have to buy new rear spring upper seats.

Really easy to get them out too, google search something like "G35 350Z rear spring upper seat mod" I'm sure there are plenty of people who did a write-up already.

Theres a guy selling just his rear H&R springs, but its for a 350Z. From what I've read, that would lower your car another half an inch lower than the H&R springs intended for the G.

Might be a little too low for u.

Yeah thats like 2 inches. I just want the gap to be less visible like the ones in the front. The rear wheels are really wide and i dont want to roll the fender. Ill buy the h&r springs, the price is reasonable.

Expect to need toe bolts and camber arms for the rear. Not that big of a deal, but, when you drop it, you’ll be significantly out of spec (at least I was with a modest drop in the rear).

Sorry bud, doesn't work that way on our cars. I will suggest you stay away from anything from Ichiba, too many parts have failed all across this forum, I had 3 parts that all went t!ts up at some point in their lives. Search for the Ichiba fail threads here, there are more than a few.

So it's 228 bucks for h&r springs and 85 bucks for god speed camber arms. And like 30 bucks for the toe bolts.... does that sound reasonable and also are those reliable brands?

I would recommend Kinetix over Godspeed if you still drive it like a performance car.

Don't know where you read that but the Berks here have an alarming fail rate with relatively low miles. The ceramic material inside the HFC is known to break up causing the cats to lose their efficiency, sound like crap and cause potential damage if it pushes through the exhaust or somehow gets sucked inside the motor.

I read that this forum. I searched berk vs kinetic hfc and everyone was saying fast intentions and berk over kinetic, but the thread was from like 2009... the last thing i want is for something to harm my engine. Will kinetics make me sound more aggressive?. Because im definitely liking the price.
