Question fishing for leads = Elct issue

Hi, This is electrical question for the serious G35 enthusiast/ mechanic. . .
I have an 04 6mt. . . having an issue with the door security lights.

1) When i open the door the light in the panel does not come on. (everything else running on the door elect harness works.)

2) When i close the doors, the dome light and elect light to the switches do NOT turn off.

these two items should function together but dont.

ANy ideas >>??? suggestions? any help appreciated. thanks!!!

-I have checked fuses down on driver side foot well.
-i have checked to make sure the button on chasis is connected (door closes against it properly.
-trunk elect is all currently unplugged
-i have changed the original seats for race seats = so NO elect.reconnected

Responded to your other thread but I see you posted in the coupe section so that answers my question from that thread...

When you push the door close switch does the window drop down 1/2" properly? Test both doors, they should function exactly the same.

Both doors are doing the same thing = neither of them turn off the door control power when closed + neither let the door light come on when open.

- The window is not indexing right now as i had the main battery power off for some time and need to reset windows when im all done. I believe mine have a little button onthe motor as they are aftermarket. I have not looked into resetting them just yet as i have more work to do inthe trunk area that requires to have the battery disconnected again.

►do you think the wdw indexing is related to my issue? i can try resetting the motor today.

THANKS Cleric670 - just had a thought. . .
Could a door lock actuator be causing the issue = if it was not working/ malfunctioned on drivers side??

as the driver side has effect on pass side too - it may just be a driver side problem. Like when i disconnect the driver side door harness fromthe body - i found it also shuts down the pass side controls/ power.

update: After testing the door lock actuator and replacing the door panel lights and hooking back up the sun roof/ dome lights.

I found that if i take my 12v auto test light and put the alligator clip on a ground and stuff the point into the door adjar sensor driver side or pass side everythign works. . . . the sensor only runs on 1 wire from the factory. to clarify when i probe that wire with my text light on ground eveything lights up and works as suppose too.

WHat does this mean?? I have an open circuit?? or a short??
