Lightbulb AHH! Valve cover trouble

When replacing the valve covers I ended up breaking off two to three bolts that lock it down to the motor. Yes, it is leaking oil and I am still rolling. I was going to tear it apart again and wondering after drilling them half pieces out would anyone know what size the hole is? First timer on this problem but youtube is helping 😉 thanks VQ team. any suggestions i am all for

Bolts are most likely M6 1.00mm thread. Don't need very much torque Hercules. Use a 1/4" ratchet next time.

Harbor Fright sells 1/4" torque wrenches for $15. You should buy that, and the 3/8" wrench. They prevent mistakes like this.

Referencing the pic cleric posted, which number of the 2 bolts did you break? Number 8 right and 7 left would be a nightmare to drill out

yeah I basically jumped straight to the 2nd torque step after realizing how pointless the first go around was. The numerical order is key for a good seal
