You would be blown away at how much of that can be decently corrected with just a paint pen. The front splash guard is missing the little plastic ***-snap that holds it up probably, I also use some GORILLA TAPE brand black duct tape on mine because the factory design is a little shitty and the tape holds it up 100% and lasts about a year, granted mine is black but the only way you would see it is to poke your head under the vehicle, 3M adhesive putty or tape for the rears, just clean the mating surface with isopropyl alcohol to get good adhesion.

The Nissan paint pens are great and cost about $25.

 

You don't necessarily need to replace the front bumper, but both front and rear bumper covers do need to be sanded and resprayed at least, given the cracking. You could save some money at a body shop by doing the prep work yourself - i.e. removal and sanding.

 

Cleric, normally I would agree with you...however are you sure you looked at all the damage on this coupe? Nissan paint pens might work if they came with "Rollers!"

Lol I'm just saying it can correct A LOT of the damage, those spiderwebs are definitely best corrected by sanding and respraying but that whole car is covered in minor damage.

 

And yes I'm serious about the gorilla tape, the factory clip on the front splash guards leaves a gap between the splash guard and the body, you can tape it down to minimize that gap, the tape is some VERY good quality stuff and lasts me 1 year. Lemme go snap a picture to show you. You only see it when you are directly under the vehicle and on my OB coupe it's practically invisible unless you were looking for it, sure it would be noticeable on a white car but again it's only when you're DIRECTLY under the vehicle that you see it.

This piece of tape is almost exactly 1 year old right now, don't mind the dirt, I haven't washed the car yet this week and it rained on me a lot.

 

It will help A LOT with this kind of situation where you're bandaging things back together because it got snagged on something and ripped the snap out, getting a tight fit will be REALLY difficult so the tape is a great option.

 

Well, before you go and paint that front bumper, I would first get a new/different one, cuz that thing is ugly as ****. Get some spacers too.

I think you're down with the sickness lol. Love the Karuma Z but it is so common it's like another OEM bumper. The combination of that front with Impul sides and a Chargespeed rear bumper are as common or more than the coupe sport bumper lol.

 

Fair enough. To each their own but I still love it and think it's the cleanest/best fitting bumper for the G. Not sure how it's sexy one year and not the next. I think the G is timeless. What's your favorite?

 

The G as a whole is timeless, but certain things are looking dated. The original coupe bumper is super dated, but adding an OEM (or replica) lip brings it back to life.

The sport bumper and the nismo still both look fresh to deth, only problem with the sport is there are no splitter or lip options that are a damn. The inven is ok too, but fitment is awful. There was one on Shane's G that looked really good too, but I dunno what it was.

 

Some vinyl wrap can help out a lot when it comes to fixing paint issues. You can sand the rough spots and wrap the bumpers in a white that matches. There are tons of shades of white out there, so you're bound to find one that matches. Even if you don't sand the area just remove the loose paint flakes and you won't be able to see the rough spots through the vinyl unless you're looking closely or the rough sports are deep. I wrapped a bumper for a family member that had been damaged in an accident. They fixed it with bondo, I matched the paint and now it looks as good as new. Vinyl is cheaper than paint and if you have the patience and time then wrapping the bumper might be a good option. Just something to think about.
