BUYING 2004 G35: I am looking to buy a 2004 G35 Coupe, 28,000 miles, for $9200. It has been garage kept, one owner, appears to be in great shape on the interior and exterior. In the process of checking on maintenance records. I have been reading what a great car this is, just wondering what G35 owners would have to say about it, and what to look out for?

$9200.00 for a almost fifteen year old vehicle that was hardly driven.
Spend the $150 for a completed diagnostic at a local Infiniti dealer that can run the VIN number and give you a vehicle history. Any defects found can be used to lower the purchase price.
Good luck

I bought one new in 04 and have no plan to sell it as I have invested more in upgrades than the current market would ever justify. Mine only has 21000 but mileage alone isn't the only wear factor. For example I have recently replaced the front upper control arms and the sway bar links trying to eliminate suspension noise and still have some in the rear. Rubber suspension bushings that are constantly under compression will age without being driven.
Front tire scuffing is an issue as it cannot be adjusted out and the tires being directional and different sizes front to back can only be rotated by changing the front tires from side to side by remounting them.
I still love the car. Its relatively light with quick handling. This forum's post history is the best guide you will find for minor issues. The biggest generally accepted down side is that it can use more HP than stock.
