hey everyone. ive got a red 04 coupe. for 14 years old pretty good condition although a few spots on the body need a little touch up work, couple of minor dings, and also a few spots just need to be sanded down repainted and clear coated. my question though is, without spending the most where is a good source for touch up paint that will match the exact color? should I just go to the dealer or would I be able to get the exact same color from somewhere like autozone?

and isn't there two spots to get the color code? under the hood AND in the door jam? or am I mistaken on this

 

Here's your answer, paint code is under the hood on the drivers side along with your vin number! Touch up paint, factory paint is too expensive for what you get and generally makes a mess. Here's what you need, "Automotive Touchup" and comes in a rattle can! You get one can of color and another for the clear, should last as long as you own your G! Get your paint code and give them a call!

I'm with Gary to a point, Automotive Touchup makes fantastic factory matched paint for all makes and models. For rock chips and scratches I wouldn't use a rattle can, I bought the little battles of paint and clear and they work fantastic. I use it on both of our cars with much success.
