I have looked through the threads and did not see anyone post my exact issue so thought I would ask. Power driver seat will move back and forth while not sitting in the seat- When sitting in the seat it doesn't move- just clicks
I know what people will say- and No- I'm only 180lbs- I looked at the nylon gear and it looked fine- any recommendations? i don't want to spend $50 on a new gear for no reason

 

Did you try lubricating everything relating to that subsystem? It sounds like the motor doesn't have enough torque to move the seat with the added mass of your body weight but works fine otherwise. A new motor or just new brushes on the old one would likely fix your issue.

 

Everything was lubricated and looked good- I decided to remove the gear from the passenger seat and try it on the driver seat before I made the purchase. At this point it appears to have fixed the problem. But the bad gear did not really look that bad.
At least it was an easy fix.
