I have a 2003 Nissan Skyline 350GT. I had a problem with the windows so I lowered both windows and disconnected the battery for 5 minutes. When I re connected the battery and wound the windows back up, nothing had changed. But when I started the car, it was revving up and down uncontrollably. I switched off the engine and immediately restart it and it was fine until I pressed the accelerator and it is started over revving again!!! What can it be?????

 

Check the throttle body it may be stuck open.

 

surely if the throttle body was stuck open it would rev at high all the time!! This is actually fluctuating!!

 

 

Just the engine light on!!

 

Have the code/s read!! Then you'll have a better idea of what's wrong!!!

 

Have the codes scanned for what the check engine light is complaining about! Sounds like a stuck throttle body or possibly accelerator pedal problem, but the DTC will tell you for sure where to start.
