AT Check Light??

Hey guys I was driving my g last night and a light that I have never seen before came on and it said AT Check? So I Pulled over turned off my car then tried to start it and didn’t start again till the next day.. What does AT Check mean? I would assume it means Check Automatic Transmission. I have already checked the fluid it’s fine, what else could it be? And why wouldn’t my car start till the next evening?

AT questions!

I've only had the Trans Check Light come on once (went into limp mode) since '04 and that was because my fluid was dirty and it was 97 degrees here in SoCal at that time! That was when I was still believing in what Nissan recommends (every 30K mile fluid change) for their transmissions. Now I change my trans fluid about every 18 months. Forget the Infiniti Stealership, have Nissan check your AT and if fluid hasn't been changed, get 'er done! It is odd your car wouldn't start, question to ask Nissan!

Failure to start on a hot motor is usually a bad starter solenoid. If it starts fine later once everything is cooled off I would replace the starter.

Have you read the TM section in the FSM?

See page TM-113
