Cool Please help me check out this high mileage G35? Carproof report included.

Hi guys, I was trying to choose between Mustang Gt and a G35/37. Mustang GT is faster on paper, but the G felt much faster in real life. I guess because the G has shorter gears. Now I am trying to buy a 84000 miles (135000 km) 2007 G35 sedan for $8000 CND. The car looks and drives fine. The suspension is being lowered. It was previously a rental car. And from the report, 'new owner reported' appeared 5 or 6 times. So I guess it at least had 4 or 5 previous owners? Please let me know if you think this is a good deal, or if it's kinda fishy, thank you.

Carfax looks clean but it can be very inaccurate at times. I prefer Autocheck as it's more reliable. However I always advocate having a pre-purchase inspection done on any used cars by a trusted mechanic or the dealership. Then you know exactly what you're getting.

Personally I would run away from any previous rental car, you can guarantee nobody cared about it and it's going to need all sorts of maintenance a caring owner would have taken care of.

Counter point is that they are always maintained well. I'd always take a well maintained vehicle over one that has no history.

I agree with Urban and Blue both. Scheduled maintenance is crucial for longevity and a pre-purchase inspection is a must unless you have the time, tools, and knowledge to do it yourself.

Thank you guys for all your replies. I think I found a better deal: 2004 G35 Sedan 82k km with clean title for $5k CND. Although the 2004 one is slower than the 2007 G35, but still plenty of speed. Most importantly its 50k km less mileage and $4k CND cheaper.
