Hi guys, I'm new to the g35 platform and have a few questions for you gurus. Is there suppose to be a trim/sea around the rear glass? I feel like this is too much gap, but then again im not quite sure. Here are some pics so you guys can see what I'm referring to...

Also, does anyone know what this connector is for (part of rear bumper)?

I currently dont have a rear bumper ..this is why i ask. Thanks in advance.

I'm not even sure that other harness is OEM equipment, I suspect if you unravel that tape you'll find a butt splice where someone tapped off the license place light to add something like possibly under-chassis lighting and then later removed it but left that section of the harness installed.

As for the rear class, if that's a coupe then no there is no trim, I see a little window adhesive poking out so it's probably been replaced at some point and that might be why you are seeing a difference in gap.

EDIT: actually I don't recognize that style of license plate light either? Possibly someone used the license plate light from another vehicle???

There should be two lights (and plugs) for the rear license plate.

Yup...that harness is for the license plate light. The plate has 2 lights on it...you are missing one.
