New 2005 intake manifold?

I posted this in the Technical and Modification section, but had no response, maybe will get a better one here.
OK, so on everythingg35.com, they have a 2005 Intake Manifold Collector for pre-order for the 03-04 models It's like $210 or something and it mentioned the 298 hp found on the 05 6MT's, so it sounds like this would give the 03-04 guys the extra hp of the 05's. ?????

Has anyone heard of this? Thanks in advance.

Good question indeed
I dont think it was ever answered as to what exactly gave the 05s the HP bump

If "it mentioned the 298 hp found on the 05 6MT's" then they were unwilling to say anything outright about it. That says more to me.

This reasoning for the hp bump has been answered many times.......though i don't remember exactly but I think it had to do with something else, valve timing or something???

IIRC Nissan added continuously variable valve timing on the exhaust camshaft of the '05s (03-04 cars only had it on the intake cam).

The more I look into this, the more I think that this new part from the 2005 6MT's aided the 05's in achieving their hp gain. I would guess this change in the intkae manifold would yield some extra ponies, but the gain would be minimal. I think the additional hp on the 05's was gained primarily from the additional variable valve timing with the exhaust valves (I think that was the cause of the add in hp).
Anyways, it would be nice to see some dyno numbers from this new 05 intake manifold on an 04.

The gain in HP for 2005, at least according to Nissan, came from a few things:
- Increase of the redline from 6600 RPM to 7000 RPM
- Addition of exhaust valve timing
- Some minor structural changes to the engine block

The 05 Anniversary/Track 350Z also benefits from revised cams and pistons, although I would think those would be the same in the G35 (not specified at infinitihelp.com)

I have not heard of or read about additional changes to the intake or plenum, although I suppose it's possible.
