Anyone try "Q" motor oil

I have 4000 miles on the G and have done one oil change with mobil 1. Anyone use this Q stuff from QUaker State? They claim that it reduces friction at higher temperatures.

4k is a little early to switch over to a synthetic oil. I would wait until about 8-10k before switching to a full synthetic like Mobil 1. As far as Q is concerned I have never used it so i have no comment.

Oh boy, here we go again! OK, this is debatable, so I have 2 answers:
1) Search the forums to get a lot of back and forth opinions and decide for yourself.
2) People say that switching before 10k miles can prevent proper break-in and sealing of engine components.

It's not. You won't do any harm by switching over at 1500 miles compared to 5000 or 20000 miles.

Bad move, Internal combustion engines need to wear in. They are expected to wear in to seat the rings and other componets to each other. Synthetic will not allow the parts to wear properly because of its increased lubricating properties. Do what you want but I would not take a chance of causing a poor ring seal on a new motor. Call any high performance engine builder and they will tell you the same thing Dino oil first 1k min.
