Former Z Owner Looking to Buy G35 need help!

Hey guys,
I was the lucky owner of a 2004 Daytona Blue Nissan 350Z for about a year. I traded in october for a cheaper car while i bought a house, now i got a big promotion and wanted to jump in a g35 coupe fully loaded with navigation and premium package 6mt. Are there anythings I need to look for here when going to a dealer? What about any special deals on the G35's right now any discounts or anything? How good is the navigation system? is it voice activated? does it come up from the dash everytime you start the car simliar to the Z?

Thanks guys!
Rich

Also new with '05 i see the G35 has 298 hp? Can anybody compare speeds of the 350z to this? Would they pull similar 1/4 mile times, i think my best was like a 14.1 with a 6 speed on the 350z? Are the 6 speeds simliar i guess?

I have never sat in a G35, is it much nicer inside?

Welcome fellow and past Z owner! Nav is not voice, nor touch screen, so as far as navs go, there is better out there.....IMO of course. Have not driven an 05 G 6MT, so with that said, get an 04 6MT with Brembos! I have driven the Z a fair amount and since you owned one, you will see that it is a tick slower and softer, so you need to figure out what you want in a car? The G has a lot more to offer in it's comfort and features and the Z is more of a "sports car". I personally think the G looks better, is more accomodating to the driver and passenger in a wider range of driving situations and has a classier look. That and $2.00 will get you a cup of coffee at Star*****, but my .02 none the less! Z or G, you really can't go wrong
