I went out today to replace the door actuator in the 04 G35 Coupe. This is what I find when I take the car apart. Anyone have any idea how one translates to the other? Anyone replace the passenger side actuator and come across this?

What is in the car

What they sent

Can I somehow connect what they sent with what I am finding when I take the car apart???

It looks like that might be just a small part of it... I dont know. This looks like what one needs, which looks exactly like what is in the car, not that little white thing they sent. https://www.z1motorsports.com/electr...35-p-8700.html But wondering if this assembly can be opened and a part of the assembly replaced with that little white part they sent?

Looks like you ended up with sedan actuators instead of coupe ones.

Crap, you are right. I had looked up the G35 and 350z and thought they took the same.. Feeling like an idiot and nobody to be more pissed at than myself for wasting 5 hours and having a car in pieces till the new one arrives I am about to order. hahaa. Thanks for pointing that out!

I hope you aren't spending more than $20 for the parts. You can use these universal actuator kits like this guy and it works just the same.

There is some work involved just follow this tutorial.

Nice write up. But nah, I picked it up from an Infiniti dealer down in Florida. $200 shipped to my door. Not bad overall, ebay are selling "rebuilt" ones for $130 after shipping and tax. Easy to swap out to... would have been done in about an hour. hour and a half with cleanup if I had not ordered the wrong part originally.
