Had my G since 176k, Have never checked the fluid in the trans nor do I know the previous owners maint history. Going to check the fluid later, Do I roll the dice and change it. Been thumbing thru a ton of threads here and prob going to go with the consensus and do a few quarts drain and refill.

 

Up to you. I may swap it at that point, but I wouldn't flush it.

 

Only ever drain fill ANY automatic transmission. Yes I recommend doing it, read this link, post # 10.
