Contemplating a new true dual exhaust from 2 american V8s..
Hey y'all, I have a pretty cool idea for my modded/built 2003 G35c's mediocre stock exhaust sound. I realize that my VQ will never sound like a deep, mellow, delicious V8, but I am looking to deepen my exhaust sound none-the-less. My ideas are just in the research stages right now, but I love the way that the Boss 302 H-pipe (with resonators and/or turn downs on the side pipes). That gives an overall low, deeper rumble coming from underneath the car as a whole despite only exiting rear through dual 4" tips on each side as in the pic I attached of a finished 'prototype' look.
I'm iffy on e-cutouts and have heard some terrible sounds with them used with our VQ. My QTPs on my previous LS2 GTO were head turners every time though. I am just looking for advice if my concept, which I am sure has been tried before somewhere on this big beautiful rock. I am just looking for a little deeper rumble, kind of R35 rear cues, and that barbaric 302 boss h-pipe rumble. Any feedback always appreciated, after this I'm going to dress her up warmer for the winter months (body kit, wide 18s maybe) If this car belongs to anyone on our forum, respect. I hope you do not mind if I use it as a general idea of the look I'm going for. Props.
I want to attach the new 302 boss pipe all with 2.5" overall piping. Currently I am just rocking an old high flow Vibrant Street Power muffler and then Vibrant resonator after that before the dual exit oem muffler with new Tomei headers and Fast Intentions HFC's.
I think the reason the Boss 302 sounds so amazing is because of those side dumps the exhaust has. I'm curious to see what something like that would sound like on the G35. Might be terrible, might be amazing.
