Exhaust Noob

I have always been a truck person and always had flowmasters or straight pipes on them but a car is different. So I was wondering if running a dual 3" system catback(i know it is a 2.5" though) with 2 resonators in place the single muffler and split dual tips. So my question is will there be any difference from 2.5" and the 3" setup. Also will this sound good or will it sound bad like a ricer with a coffee can on the back. I am going for a deep nice sounding setup not fart cannons.

I had a tahoe with a magnaflow setup prior to this car, I know what its like for such an opposite style of transportation, if you change the exhaust it will sound like a ricer on startup, that's about it, any revs and it sounds nice and exotic. Like mine does

what is the difference between a resonators and a muffler? Mine 35X sedan had a hole in the resonator. I thought that it was just a pre-muffler.

to my understanding you'll loose some power going with 3" piping unless your turbo or something around there...navigate your way through that exhaust thread
