Driving Lamps
Driving Lamps
Has anyone tried retro-fitting and mounting driving lamps behind the two grills under the front bumper? It'll look pretty cool with lights down there to compliment the entire front look. The set from Japan is just too expensive.
Re: Driving Lamps
Apparently after checking it the possible install with a few shops, it would be very difficult to get driving lamps installed behind the front grills below the bumper. I was told that the bumper was assembled as one piece and the entire bumper would need to be removed in order to have a clean install. This would pose a problem even after the lamps were installed because let's say the bulbs burn out one day. It'll be a helluva time to get to the lamp housing.
Unless there is a second opinion or if someone has a work-around to make this possible, I'm forced to shelve the idea for now. Hopefully, there will be some after market options down the road. I'm determined to one day have lights down there!

Thats just how it goes man.... just make sure the install is clean and use high quality products. The new lights should last you at least a good 2-3 years. Go for it!
