03 Coupe Fuel Pump

I need to replace my 03 Coupe fuel pump, but all of the sites online selling the fuel pump assembly is for 04-06 or 04 and up. Does anyone know if an 04 coupe’s fuel pump would fit an 03/ have any links to sites that sell full fuel pump assemblies? Not looking to break the bank, thanks!

It should be the same fuel pump for all those years.

I think the only differences between pumps is the SEDAN pump did not include the basket assembly with the level arm but the COUPE pump included the entire assembly. The pumps are not interchangeable either, you need to specify coupe or sedan when ordering. 2003-2004 sedan uses one pump, 2005-2006 uses a different one. All coupes 2003-2007 use the same pump.

This is for factory Nissan components though, aftermarket you just need to check with your vendor to see what's included but it's typically the entire assembly if it's for a coupe it will be for ALL years of coupe since they're all the same pump.

You can always pull your pump and take a couple pictures of it to verify that it's the same pump. There's also a little sticker on the top with the OEM part number on it, you probably have a 17040-AC80A pump since yours is a 2003, but it might be a 17040-AC800 (doubt it).

If you want to just buy a new OEM Nissan pump the latest revision of the part number is 17040-EV10A

And if you take a look at pricing, you might find that a fuel pump assembly for a 2003 350Z is less money. Enjoy!

This was also one of those components that was OEM manufactured by Hitachi. Buying the Hitachi brand stuff is considerably cheaper than the dealership.

https://partcat.com/hitachi

You should be able to pull the Hitachi part number off the top of the pump as well. Should be either FUP0009 or FUP0006. That part number is easy to find, to remove the back seat there are two little plastic loops at the front edge of the seat that you need to pull towards the front of the car to unlock the lower seat. Then it lifts straight up and pulls forward, takes less than 30 seconds to remove the seat and the fuel pump is directly under the seat.
