Cam sensor (passenger side)

Cam sensor keeps going out I’ve had other threads telling me replace to hitachi which I did and that went out and someone told me check the harness but the harness looks fine so I was wondering if anyone knows where the cam sensor grounds out to because maybe it has a bad ground?

Look up DTC P0340 for wiring in the FSM, section EC.

I tried navigating to what you told me but it only takes me to the table of contents and it doesn’t have anything that lets me go to a specific page only the one page of table of contents

Harness looks fine?
Just looking without testing for continuity with a multimeter proves nothing.
You failed to mention the year of your vehicle but try here
https://www.nicoclub.com/service-man...pe/2007/ec.pdf

See page EC 382

Check wiring between the ECM, IPDM and the CPS

BTW has anything ever gotten wet?
Good luck

Yes I believe I have worked in the rain a few times, one time in the rain I was doing my crank sensor and I think maybe another time working with my cam sensor but it wasn’t hard rain and I don’t remember getting anything wet.

Check for corrosion and continuity in all connections with your meter
A Consult tool at the dealer can locate the problem but that will cost you
Never a good idea to work on a vehicle in the rain with so many sensitive electrical components
