I need help. My brake light and battery lights are both on. The car starts as normal but the steering wheel is very stiff; it literally moves 1-inch to the left and 1 inch to the right

 

Brake light typically means the E-brake is set, or the little switch is stuck. With some cars that also indicates the brake fluid level is low.
Battery light means there is a fault in the charging system - check the battery terminals and the alternator (you should have 12 to 14 volts engine running, 11 or lower you have a problem)
If the steering is stiff check your power steering fluid on the drivers side of the engine bay. Check for leaks too. The pump can fail/leak.
