Check out the service manuals, you may find the exact information you need. I found the heater diagram there under Seats (03 Coupe). Seems like you should check the 10A fuse #38. It could also be a faulty relay, or temp regulator... in which case you would need replacement parts.

I have been trying to look thru the manual and can not make heads or tails of it lol.

It is just very weird that they only work when they want and only long enough to feel them get warm and shut off
There is a thermostat in the lumbar section of the seatback, temperature should fluctuate from 95F to 113F
Since the seats ARE WORKING the problem is not in either the power delivery circuit, the switch, the heating elements. Your problem definitely sounds like a thermostat issue and you might have failing thermostats or someone may have spilled something on the seatback or damaged it in some way.
