Help no crank no start
Help no crank no start
Hi all of a sudden my car won't crank but can bumb start.
thought it was the starter put a new one in same thing no crank. Bench tested old starter and it's good. Checked the starter relay by switching it into the high beam relay and it works. Now trying to check the clutch switch should I be able to just jump the terminals with a paper clip? Also already checked the #12 fuse for the switch and it's good and have 12v at starter. Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Battery about 3 years old have not tested it
just don't think that's it
Was during the g stopped at quick check came out and no crank all of a sudden. Used the bat in the car to test old starter and it turned it over fine.
I switched my clutch switch with one from my maxima and still no crank.
Is there any other fuses to check for that circuit other than #12 in fuse box under kick panel?
When I tried jumping clutch switch yesterday I accidently touched the pedal and got sparks. I'm not getting voltage at the clutch switch with key on

You blew fuse 89 in the IPDM when you grounded it out on the pedal, 10amp fuse.
Ignition relay closes when you turn the key switch to ON, this powers the clutch switch, when you press the clutch switch it closes the starter relay. When you turn the key to start if that circuit is closed then power goes from the key switch through the start relay directly to the starter. Power for the ignition key-start relay-starter is the big 40amp fuse in slot M of the fusible link. I'm guessing that one is blown as well OR the start relay is cooked (this is probably what the original problem was).
Check section SC - Starting/Charging in the FSM for the wiring diagram, it's pretty basic. If you need help understanding the diagram I can draw on it to explain what's going on.
