A sad day ... my son crashed his 2005 G35 yesterday (1/7/21)...
Buy a clean chassis with a blown motor for $2500 or less and swap that motor (and anything else that's better) over to the new chassis. At the end of the day you still spent the same amount of money.
EDIT: Also, no harm in testing the waters for selling that car, make a for sale post on CL and FB marketplace and see what kind of bites you get. Be sure to list that it's got the rev-up, verify the transmission id tag for a CD009 and put that in the description as well. You might be surprised (in a good way) at the offers.
If you change your mind you can always back out of the deal.

You are in South Atlanta area? I'm in Douglasville ill take the whole car off you're hands but it aint gonna be 3-4k prob more like 1500 its a salvage car at this point and all I want is the motor for a FI build and possibly the tranny to convert my 5AT to manuel. Pm me if you are serious about getting rid of it ill bring the trailer.
MurdaG - I'm serious ... and you won't need a trailer, it drives like a dream, and it remains insured. Not sure about $1,500 though. Gonna test the waters to see if others might be ... "more" interested in it.
I have the car at my dad's house, up on jack stands. But I'm giving it 1 or 2 more weeks (depending my schedule) to see if I can get a buyer for the whole thing. The wheels / tires are not sold.
