Seatbelt holder?

Ok..so I am going to either get the front seats reupholered or re-skin them myself.

Q: has anyone found a solution to keep the seatbelt from wearing on the seats?

BMW has a seatbelt holder that I think might work.

www.bimmerworld.com/BMW-Parts/Genuine-BMW-Belt-Holder-52302208036.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw_fiLBhDOARIsAF4khR0 GLhDO-sKZbgP2LGTxPMr7TRyGkQ-DoraIDLO5jkYB_FiI5ZdzDikaAj6REALw_wcB

Has anyone already found a fix for this?

BTW: Wife is short...so seat is far forward and belt wears upper left seat area.

I'm guessing you have a 2003-2005 coupe where the seatbelt attaches to the B pillar on that swing arm thing yeah? Or do you have the 2006-2007 with the guide that's built onto the edge of the seat?

Yup..the 2003 coupe....wife's car..
She is 4' 9".....so seat is very far forward, which doesn't help the wear issue.

I also just looked up seat belt shoulder guides and it looks like the aftermarket ones for the mustang might work great, probably need to redrill one of the holes in the plastic to line up with the G35 headrest center spacing.

Here's a link to the site I was looking at.

https://www.mustangecoboost.net/thre...fitment.16973/

Looks like it's a factory Ford item so shouldn't have any issues getting ahold of one.

On a side note...it gets tiring fixing all these little design flaws.

Google Audi cup holder.
Worlds worst cup holder design: flimsy popout cupholder directly over the radio...screams..."oh **** we forgot to put a cup holder." ..."let's spill coffee on the radio."

Worlds second worse cup holder design also goes to Audi:
Open armrest...which also tips down..two cup holders there..right where my arm should rest to shift my car.
then also make armrest cover only open 90 degrees so that cover can slam down on the cups in the "cupholder."...because armrest tilts down...

Then put both designs in the same car..

Rant over...

I don't know about that, the G35 coupe center cup holders are abysmal, I use the one in the door and always keep an Under Armour coffee cup with a latching top in the car to put a drink in.
