Fuel gage not reading properly. Have a P0462 code (Fuel level Sensor Circuit Low Input, which means the fuel level sensor is no longer taking correct readings) and based on the research I’ve done it seems that the cluster needs to be repaired. I already replaced both sending units with no change. The gage never travels below 1/2 a tank. 1/2 is empty. Any thoughts?
Measure resistance across pins 2 and 5 on the pump, 1 and 2 on the sub pump. Make sure they are actually sending the correct resistance from full to empty.
Typically that code means an issue with the floats themselves or the WIRING, not data being interpreted by the cluster wrong.
I have the same problem. Based on my research you need to have the instrument cluster repaired. I live in Chicago and the only place I can find is in Wisconsin. Tania auto electric
Just put the instrument cluster into test mode first and mark locations, put tape behind the needle and make a mark on the tape exactly where the needle lines up. Do this for all the gauges. When your repair is finished, put the cluster back in test mode again and install the needles.
You will need to remove the clear plastic cover from the instrumentation to do it, and make sure you use some kind of tape that won't accidentally peel off, yellow or orange 3M Super 33+ electrical tape works perfect.

I just took a picture of the cluster in test mode before I took it apart
I'm having the same issue. According to my investigation, the instrument cluster has to be fixed. I reside in Chicago, and Wisconsin is the only location I can locate. Tania is an electric vehicle.
