INJEN Vs. Z-tube CAI

Hi, this post is for all who have the ingen or z-tube intake. I have heard the injin full cold air and it sounds GREAT!!!!!!!!!! I want to know how the Z-tube compares to the full cold air.. does it have a similar sound .. ??? I dont want to get full cold cause of hydrolocking issues. Thanks!

I have had one of the lower sitting CAI's in my RSX and you wont have any hydrolocking issues. It's simple as in dont drive through ponds.

Just a heads up that you should probably be aware of, regarding the Injen CAI: There were numerous problems with the Injen where the engine would shut off at full WOT. People would drive on the highway, take it to red line, depress the clutch, and as soon as the RPMs dropped, the engine would shut off. Not a pleasant experience when you are flying down the highway at 70mph + and are left with no braking and steering power.

I think that Injen has corrected this problem since it first came out, but I'm not 100% sure.

I've heard this horror story several times, and I'll stick with the ZTube!

I remember reading that the problem was a dirty MAF sensor. CAI

ive has the injen CAI on for around 8 months. Ive never had a single problem with it shutting off, ive also driven through some pretty deep puddles unfortunatly, but it never sucked any water. go injen CAI sounds sweet, even sweeter with an exhaust and testies...

I have the injen as well, love it, sounds great, noticeable gains, i have had no problems whatsoever with it, and hydrolocking hasn't been a problem, i have driven through heavy rain and everything, just don't let the filter be submerged in water, i.e. deep puddle, and you will be fine
