Non-nav to nav

Hey, I found an OEM nav bose head unit on Kijiji and was wondering if It's just plug-n-play with the non-nav system? If not, can I just not plug in the nav system and still have full radio and a/c controls? If i can't just do that what additional things do I need to do to get it working? Just asking because my OEM non-nav head unit is failing and just found this replacement and needed a cheap fix.

No. The bose doesn't have any amplification for the speakers. It only sends a line-level signal out that won't power speakers.

To get the bose nav system working, you're going to have to gut your dash to replace the ENTIRE wiring harness in the dash area, and the trunk area to put the bose amp in, and just about everything inbetween.

The easiest fix is another non-bose headunit, but they're going to be just as old and close to failure as the one in your car now. Go aftermarket and be done with it.

Oh, I'm sorry I forgot to mention I already have an OEM bose head unit installed just non-nav. I was just wondering if I was able to plug just the radio part of the head unit in and not the navigation system and have everything still work

Your mom's boyfriend
If you found it on Kijiji , literally test it in your car before you buy it. If it doesn't work don't buy it.

I went a different route and picked up a 10 inch tablet and use google maps which is far superior to any OEM nav.

Use Agama for a front end. PM me if you need a link for the full version.

the guy I bought it from told me that if it doesn't work I can just bring it back for a refund. I'm installing it today so wish me luck
