Hello G35 lovers,
I have a 2005 G35 Coupe 6MT with 184,000 miles on it. The problem is that the undercarriage splash guard or plastic skid plate is damaged and the holes in the bumper where a new one (an aluminum one which I purchased on eBay) can be attached are also damaged or broken. So far I have ziptied the old splash guard together but it keeps falling off every few days due to road conditions or something, and I need to replace it. I also have *no* splash guard over the front passenger wheel well.

The skid plate part number I have found printed on it is Nissan 75892 AL500 75892 AQ000.

Questions:
1) Do I need a new front bumper so that a new splash guard/skid plate can attach to it correctly or is it a common issue and has no solution besides hot-glueing the splash guard to the bumper ?

2) What replacement bumper do you recommend that will last long and handle track use ? I am guessing all old bumpers from a junk yard will have the same issue of the screw holes being damaged or worn out.

2) What is the part number for the front passenger wheel well splash guard ?

Just put a different style of fastener on it, Dzus clips would probably work.

 

Or you can get creative and do this kinda repair.
