speedometer off a bit and manual mod not working, aftermarket wheels or cluster?
speedometer off a bit and manual mod not working, aftermarket wheels or cluster?
so the thing I was already looking to fix was the manual mode, and I'm mostly seeing people say gauge cluster. The cluster was replaced pretty recently, and when it got replaced i also noticed that the speedo showed about 10% under the actual speed, so 45 on the dash is roughly 50. The thing is, my wheels aren't stock. they are both 19' which should be stock for me, but I don't know what size they were before. also, my tires have a bigger diameter than stock. This is what I assumed the speedo being off was. Could it also make the sensors freak out and shut off manual mode? or could the cluster be the problem for both issues? I wasn't the one who replaced the cluster, and I've heard that if the specs are off by even a little bit it can mess with the system.
Having bigger tires will actually show u a slower speed indication, but one inch bigger shouldnt make much difference. U can always remove the speedo indicator needle
and set it back on slightly higher than its current position.
