Horn fuses pops immediately upon startup of car

Hello all,

Just looking for some thoughts on this. Since my car is getting close to inspection time, I was testing a few things. I hit my horn, and it didn't work. So I checked the fuse, it was popped. I replaced it, hit the horn, it popped again immediately. Any thoughts on what would cause that? I'm scratching my head, loose wire somewhere?

Thanks for any suggestions. 2003 G35, stock, 2 door, manual

Likely a short somewhere in the horn circuit. Check wiring closest to your horns and see if any leads popped off the horns and are touching anywhere.

Thanks. Never had a bad horn before so I wasn't even sure what to go check.

Unplug the harness on the horn and see if the fuse still pops. Might just be the horn itself melted on the inside. If the fuse still pops with the horn unplugged then just start tracing that wire back and find the damaged spot.
