What’s the best cam for 2003 G35, TT Greddys. (If there is a cam)

Call Z1 Motorsports and ask them, there's only a few options for cams on the VQ35DE.

If I had to just GUESS I'd say probably the JWT C2 cams (doesn't necessarily require their springs but it's strongly recommended) would probably be a good match for the greddy twins and not too obnoxious on the brakes.

The C8 or C9 are too aggressive imo, track use only and the REQUIRE the JWT springs. Your brakes will suck, you will be adding a vacuum can. They do sound absolutely badass at idle though You will have all the typical big cam issues with something this big though, I think the C8 is like 272 and the C9 is 282 or so.

If you do want one of those really aggressive cams don't get the C9 if you drive this thing as a daily driver, bigger is not always better.

haha no I have a beat up Honda I drive as a daily, I traded my 03 GT that I did a nice mod set up on. So now I’m onto VQs and know just a bit on them. So I’m trying to get a nice setup to go with the Greddys but you’re information helped me because I know where to start atleast. 🙂

I do want it to have a nice lope so I do want an aggressive cam like I had on the mustang. I plan to build this car the right way. A bit pricy, slow spending will get her done though. With that being said I don’t want like stage 5 aggressive cam, maybe something similar to stage 3 if any recommendations I know it’s a little different talk but I think you get what I’m putting down.😅

So the JWT C series cams are all their race cams, they get progressively more aggressive the higher the number, that's why I was thinking the C2 would probably be a good fit. Definitely call Z1 Motorsports and talk to them (or CZP, ZSpeed, etc) these shops SPECIALIZE in the G/Z and will be able to give better recommendations when you tell them exactly what you're trying to do with the car. You can also talk directly to the manufacturers like someone suggested in another thread you were in.

The reason I would talk to the vendors and not the manufacturer is it sounds like you're going to be getting an entire package, cams, rods, pistons, springs, oil pump, etc. The vendors are almost certainly who you're going to be getting stuff from so you will usually get a better deal just letting them bundle together a package for you.

oh okay cool I didn’t know that I appreciate you telling me. Yes going to do an engine rebuild kit more than likely with forged pistons and rods lol but I definitely want to do FBO, and a cam as well.

You need to clarify ..

You Said your tt but you're rebuilding with fbo... so that's na...

Might want to clarify which step you're currently at. So we can assist you better.

You can have an unmodded FI or a FBO FI. Huge difference in power too, if you're stock exhaust and zero mods except with a Vortech you are making maybe 320whp or so, FBO you'll make more than enough to bend rods. Same thing with turbo except the base unmodded numbers will typically be a little higher, depends on the compressor. Plus you end up pushing so much boost just to make power that your volumetric efficiency is garbage compared a turbo engine with lower compression. You'll make a lot of heat but not a lot of power.
