06 G35 coupe seat into 05 G35 coupe

So recently purchased a Black driver seat from a 2006 G35 Coupe. The only difference with this seat is that it has the "seat memory options" on the side. When installing the seat, all the harness connectors connected normally except one. On my original seat, the connector is, I believe, a 12-pin, and the female connector on the black seat is for a 16-pin male connector (I'll provide pictures below). I still have the male connector for the black seat since it was still connected. I was wondering if it was possible to wire up the 16-pin connector to the harness of my G35 so it could connect up to the female connector of the seat. Or is there anything else anyone could recommend? I do not care if the memory feature of the seat works since my original one didn't have that. Any advice would be appreciated.

*Connector in hand is the harness from my car (05 g35 coupe 12 pins), and the 16-pin female connector is from the 06 g35 coupe.*

Just because the connectors fit doesn't mean they're going to work. There are differences in the hardware (seat control unit, sensors, etc.) between the memory and non-memory seats. Go to nicoclub.com and download the factory service manual (you probably only need section "SE") for an '05 and '06, and you'll see what I'm talking about. I didn't look too deeply, but it doesn't appear to be as simple as swapping a few wires to the seat motors.

Did you replace the seat due it being worn out? It might be easier to just swap the seating surfaces.

Yea, that's what I'm going to end up doing. I'm just going to swap the leather and the cushions to my old seat since it'll be cheaper anyways. My old seat is just tan in color, and all ripped up. I swapped out the entire tan interior for a black one, and the only piece missing was the driver seat I have been looking for one for months, and this is the first one that is in perfect shape.
