DIY Flex Fuel kit
Hello. I am trying to make a diy flex fuel kit as the title says. I am pretty much outsourcing all the parts from the specialty z kit to get it for a cheaper price. I just have one question. In their kit they use the Fuel It! bluetooth ec analyzer. My question is do I need this part?
It seems to plug in-line between the sensor and the output harness, and is used to send the ethanol% to your phone via Bluetooth, acting as a wireless e% gauge. I want to skip this part as I don't care to see the e% via Bluetooth, I only care that it goes to my ECU. The reason i am hesitant to skip this part is because on the website it says you can use the app to change the output signal from 0-5 volts, .5-4.5 volts, or a raw signal (150hz) from the sensor.
Does anybody know what signal the ecu wants to see from the signal wire? Do i need the bluetooth dongle or can i run the signal wire straight from the sensor to the ecu, skipping the bluetooth analyzer?
